Folio Seattle marked the 122nd anniversary of Bloomsday with an evening of Irish literature, food, and community, presented in partnership with Irish Network Seattle, the Consulate General of Ireland San Francisco, and the Irish Heritage Club Seattle. Guests arrived to a Joycean reception of Irish appetizers, wine, and Guinness, followed by a short film from Ireland's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and welcoming remarks from Caroline, who thanked the evening's partners, including Elliott Bay Book Store.

Readings followed from a lineup of Folio community members: Dominic Gates opened with Joyce's Ulysses and a 1972 Irish Times Bloomsday account; Hannah Ledesma recited an Irish-language poem by Máirtín Ó Direáin; Kelly Kelly read from Manchán Magan's Thirty-Two Words for Field; Caroline Cumming shared an excerpt from John McGahern's memoir; Bridgett Chandler read poems by Brendan Kennelly; and Cynthia Gates recited John O'Donohue's A Blessing for the Traveller. Dominic Gates closed the program with two Seamus Heaney poems.

Guests chose a book from the Global Book Giveaway before returning to the reception, capping a multigenerational, bilingual evening that sent everyone home with a piece of Ireland in hand.
