Paid Membership
Effective: May 30th 2026
Membership is for individuals and businesses only. Household or family memberships are not provided.
- Eligibility: Paid Membership is open to all individuals or businesses who support the organization's mission and pay annual dues. Free membership is open to all individuals.
- Definition of Paid Member: A member is defined as an individual or business entity whose current-year dues are paid in full.
- Non-Transferability: Paid Membership belongs strictly to the registered individual or business and cannot be assigned, transferred, or sold to another party.
- Duration: Paid Memberships are valid for exactly one calendar year from the date of activation or renewal.
- No Ownership: Membership, free or paid, does not confer any legal ownership, equity, or voting rights in the organization's corporate assets unless expressly stated in the bylaws.
- Authorized Use: Paid Membership benefits, discounts, and credentials are for the exclusive use of the registered member.
- Automatic Renewal: Upon signup, all paid memberships renew automatically. Your payment method will be charged on your renewal date unless you cancel before that day.
Refunds and Cancellation
Paid Membership is billed and renews automatically on an annual basis. You can cancel anytime.
- No Prorated Refunds: We do not offer partial refunds for unused time.
- Access Continuity: You keep full paid membership access until your current billing cycle ends.
- Future Charges: Cancellation stops the next automatic renewal charge.
- Status Transparency: Starting July 2026, your current account and billing status will be clearly displayed at the bottom of all email communications. You can also sign into your account on this website to view your membership status anytime.
Privacy Policy

Irish Network Seattle ("we," "our," or "us") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website and services.
Information We Collect
We collect the following personal information directly from you when you register or interact with our organization:
- Name
- Email address
Website Content Management
Our website and backend services are powered by the Ghost CMS platform. Ghost hosts our content and manages member accounts, adhering to standard data protection and security practices.
- GDRP: Our platform is hosted by Ghost Foundation Ltd. They act as both a data processor and data controller in regards to GDRP.
- Payment Processing and Financial Data: All financial transactions and membership payments are processed securely by Stripe.
- Third-Party Policy: All payment processing activities are governed strictly by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
- No Access: The board of directors and any representatives of Irish Network Seattle do not have access to, nor do we store, your credit card numbers or sensitive financial data. All financial data is stored securely by Stripe.
WhatsApp Community Group
We offer an optional WhatsApp group for community networking and updates.
- Public Visibility: If you choose to join this community group, your phone number and WhatsApp profile information will be visible to all other members within the group.
- User Control: Irish Network Seattle does not control how other group members view or use your visible phone number. Joining this group is entirely voluntary. Please do not post any information you wish to keep private to the group chat. It is visible to everyone in the chat.
- Content: Outside the Board of Directors, Irish Network Seattle is not responsible for content posted in the WhatsApp Chat. We will do our best to content moderate the chat and if a user shares unwanted content.
Safeguarding Policy: Child Protection and Vulnerable Persons

Purpose and Commitment
Irish Network Seattle is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all individuals participating in our activities. Safeguarding is a core responsibility of the organization. We are committed to:
- Protecting children and vulnerable persons from harm, abuse, neglect, and exploitation
- Promoting dignity, respect, and equal opportunity
- Preventing misconduct and unsafe practices
- Building trust and confidence within our community
- Complying with applicable legal and regulatory requirements, including those in the United States and Washington State
Scope
This policy applies to all Board members, volunteers, contractors, partners, and any individuals acting on behalf of Irish Network Seattle, as well as participants in our events and programs.
It covers all public-facing events, including those involving children (under 18) and vulnerable persons (individuals at increased risk due to age, disability, illness, or other circumstances). Standards of Conduct
All representatives of Irish Network Seattle are expected to:
- Treat all individuals with respect and dignity
- Maintain appropriate boundaries at all times
- Avoid any behavior that could be considered abusive, exploitative, or inappropriate
- Ensure appropriate supervision at events involving children
- Avoid situations where an individual is alone with a child or vulnerable person where possible
- Immediately report any safeguarding concerns
Safeguarding Practices
Irish Network Seattle will:
- Provide appropriate oversight and supervision at events
- Communicate clear expectations for conduct
- Ensure volunteers and representatives understand their safeguarding responsibilities
- Take reasonable steps to prevent harm and misconduct
Reporting and Response
Any concern, suspicion, or allegation related to safeguarding must be reported promptly to a member of the Board. The Board will:
- Take all concerns seriously
- Respond promptly and appropriately
- Maintain confidentiality where possible
- Escalate matters to appropriate authorities if required
Governance and Review
- This policy has been discussed and approved by the Board
- The Board holds overall responsibility for safeguarding
- The policy will be reviewed annually and updated as needed to reflect best practice and legal requirements
- The most current signed and dated version will be maintained for compliance purposes
